Having read the blog the song is now almost unbearably achingly beautiful. You truly are all masters of your craft and I do hope soon to register my appreciation with some words that will form a review of sorts of Folklore. A truly remarkable man indeed.

And of course his memory will now live on in a wonderful song.Dave Kershawnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8440667673901774474.post-23627929346208496442016-04-22T20:56:01.610+01:002016-04-22T20:56:01.610+01:00The 1761 transit was observed by, among others, Ch...The 1761 transit was observed by, among others, Charles Mason and Jereniah Dixon, who already have an excellent song (The title track of Mark Knopfler's album Sailing to Philadelphia) so I am really pleased that you have decided to take a different angle (also, I met Sir Patrick Moore twice, in about 1974 and 1984, but he only played Penguins on Parade on the xylophone on the second occasion).Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12816256676376213859noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8440667673901774474.post-413622741788278912016-04-22T13:54:06.704+01:002016-04-22T13:54:06.704+01:00Look up the amazing story of Jeremiah Horrocks.......Look up the amazing story of Jeremiah Horrocks....A young astronomer who stuck to his guns and was proved right...One of my big heroes sadly died young of an infectious diseaseClivehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13363274147492794358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8440667673901774474.post-41344589868633352692016-04-22T11:46:57.498+01:002016-04-22T11:46:57.498+01:00Thanks you Greg and David, for taking the time to ...Thanks you Greg and David, for taking the time to write these blogs. We also own the children's book his mother wrote. I do like how the songs lead me to dip into history, finding new things to inform. I look forward with increasing anticipation to the new album.
